Who is…
Abram
Meaning: exalted father
This is the original name of the Hebrew patriarch Abraham. He is one of very few men whose name was specifically changed by God.
Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee. —Genesis 17:5 NASB
Indeed, he became the great patriarch of all the tribes of Israelites, Saracens, and many Arabic tribes and nations, and of all those who intermarried with them. Many millions of people alive today are his descendants. He is also in a direct lineage line between the 1st Adam and the 2nd Adam, Jesus Christ. All true followers of Jesus are spiritual descendants of Abraham and his faith in God.
