Meaning: red spots or the red ones

This was the name of a pass and a eventually a city on the road between Jericho and Jerusalem, “on the south side of the torrent” Wady Kelt, looking toward Gilgal, first mentioned in Joshua 15:7; 18:17.

It was between Jerusalem and Jericho, and is now called Adumim .
