Bethuel

Meaning: man of God, or virgin of God, or house of God

This is the name of a biblical man and a city.

1. Bethuel, the youngest son of Nahor by Milcah

   He was a nephew of Abraham, and father of Rebekah (Rebecca) (Genesis 22:22-23; 24:15, 24, 47). He appears in person only once (24:50).

2. Bethuel, a southern city of Judah (1 Chronicles 4:30)

   It is also called Bethul (Joshua 19:4) and Bethel (12:16; 1 Samuel 30:27).
