2009 Forecast: Increasing Thunderstorms--Seek Shelter
What does the year 2009 hold for Christians? Are things really on track to get better or is that just wishful thinking? What does an Obama presidency portend? What's coming our way in the culture and the church?
Don't head into 2009 without hearing The Christian Worldview's annual "Forecast" program on the first week of the New Year. Your phone calls on what you think we can expect in the world, America, and the church will be part of the program too.

What is the True Gospel? [Guest: Steven Lawson]
This weekend on The Christian Worldview, you're going to want to have your pen and paper ready because there's arguably no one better today at articulating what the biblical gospel actually is than Pastor Steve Lawson. He has authored many books and is a powerful expository preacher (one of my favorites!).
So gather round the fire with some hot apple cider, turn on the radio, and listen closely as you soak in the truth about the real gospel that you can then share with others. What could be a more important topic than this?

Academic Freedom Day

The Discovery Institute and the IDEA Center have teamed up to to reclaim "Darwin Day"--February 12--for those who love freedom: we're declaring February 12, 2009 (Darwin's 200th birthday) to be "Academic Freedom Day." Students and others who wish to celebrate "Academic Freedom Day" can do many things. You can host speakers or events on your campus or in your community celebrating academic freedom to challenge evolution, and perhaps even show Expelled. If you're a student, you can enter a video contest by submitting short video-entries that explain the importance of academic freedom in evolution-education. The student who submits the winning video will receive $500. Students can also start an IDEA Club. Anyone can sign an online petition supporting academic freedom at Academic Freedom Petition. Visit Academic Freedom Day to learn how you can support freedom and the unfettered search for truth in science.
