Wax in the Bible

In Biblical times, wax was made by melting the honeycombs of bees. Wax is mentioned 5 times in Scripture.

I am poured out like water,
And all my bones are out of joint;
My heart is like wax;
It is melted within me. —Psalm 22:14 LSB

As smoke is driven away, so drive them away;
As wax melts before the fire,
So let the wicked perish before God. —Psalm 68:2 LSB

The mountains melt like wax at the presence of Yahweh,
