“Be the hero you were born to become”

Here’s what the distributor says about their film: “‘Spark: A Space Tail’ centers on Spark (voiced by Jace Norman), a wisecracking teenage monkey living on an abandoned planet with his friends Chunk (Rob deLeeuw) and Vix (Jessica Biel). Thirteen years prior, the power-hungry General Zhong (A.C. Peterson) seized control of their planet Beta, wiping out Spark's family and sending him into hiding. But discovering who he really is and learning of Zhong's plan to unleash a deadly space Kraken to wipe out the universe, Spark and his friends embark on an epic adventure to put a stop to it.”

Second-rate monkey business that never achieves liftoff. …
Joe Leydon, Variety
…an utterly lifeless and profoundly unoriginal animated effort that is desperately lacking the very thing in its title… [1]
Peter Sobczynski,
…forgettable… A total dog of an animated monkey movie. …There’s scant evidence of any creative spark…
Michael Rechtshaffen, Los Angeles Times
…One questions how a movie this ill-conceived even got made…
