Mysia

Greek: Μυσία —transliteration: Musia

This is an ancient province in the northwest of Asia Minor on the shore of the Aegean Sea, between Lydia and the Propontis (the ancient Greek name for the Sea of Marmara or Marmara Sea).

On his first voyage to Europe (Acts 16:7-8) Paul passed through this province and embarked from its chief port Troas.

Pergamum (Pergamos) and Adramyttium are other Mysian cities.
