The people of Gadara are called “Gadarenes.”
This was probably the scene of the miracle demoniac exorcism and the mass pig drowning described in Mark 5:1-20; Matt. 8:28-34; Luke 8:26-39.
More specifically, it may have taken place at the large harbor of Gadara (Gergesa) at the Sea of Galilee.
