Who is…
Ara
Hebrew: אֲרָא —transliteration: Ara
Ara is the name of a biblical Asherite man (a descendant of Asher —1 Chronicles 7:38).
He is a son of Jether and is counted among the “heads of their father's house, choice and mighty men of valour, chief of the princes” (1 Chr. 7:38-40).
His brothers were Jephunneh and Pispah (Pispa).
The exact meaning of the name Ara is uncertain. Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance and others believe it probably comes from a word for lion —אֲרִי —transliteration: 'Ari or 'ariy.
