log in the Bible
A “log” is the smallest measure for liquids used by the Hebrews (Lev. 14:10; 14:12; 14:15; 14:21; 14:24). A log is the Hebrew unit of measure of capacity, and is equal to the contents of six ordinary hen’s eggs = the twelfth part of a him, or nearly a pint.
In the Vulgate it is called a sextarius which is thought to be about 546 ml or about 1 pint.
