I've never felt speed on a video game like I did with “XG3, Extreme G Racing.” It's pretty amazing! When you get a fast enough motorcycle to break the speed of sound… well, it's really cool!

The game play is motorcycle racing. Single or double player is available. You race for money to buy better parts and weapons. If you place well in the finish line, you get to open new races. The setting is the future, and the race courses are very creative and attractive. During the races, you can use the speed of your motorcycle or the weapons you have to try to win. The violence of the game consists of shooting other motorcycles and their riders at high speeds. No blood or gore is ever visible.

Acclaim chose a lady on a motorcycle to represent this game on its cover (it sells, right?). However, you won't see another female dressed like that in the game. Just pure racing. The best “feeling” of speed I've experienced in a game so far.

This is a great rental. And, if you see it in stores for cheaper than 30 dollars, it would make a good buy.

Year of Release—2001
