Caution—I was drawn to it because they incorporated Cops, Medics, and Fire fighters all into one intense show. It always leaves me thinking at the end of each episode. The characters are rather interesting. One cop, Maurice Boscorelli, had a traumatizing childhood and struggles with trying to be a lawful police officer as opposed to a tough one. His partner has a rocky marriage. Jimmy Doherty, one of the firemen, slept with a medic named Kim and they had a child. They are constantly arguing over "who gets him when." Ironically, the show is set in New York and after September 11, it was not shown for about a month, and after that the writers came back with a great episode to tie it all in. Despite the negative aspects of Third Watch, I watch it every week and enjoy it. It does display the acts of heroes amognst the 55th Precinct in NY, and they always seem to put on a great show. Definitely not for the impressionable or immature. Watch it, but with caution.
