also known as: Chun, Berothai and Berothah

This is one of the cities of Hadarezer, king of Syria.

David captured brass (i.e., bronze or copper) from it for the temple (1 Chronicles 18:8 NASB “Cun”).

Likewise from Tibhath, and from Chun, cities of Hadarezer, brought David very much brass, wherewith Solomon made the brasen sea, and the pillars, and the vessels of brass. —1 Chronicles 18:8 KJV

It is called Berothai in 2 Samuel 8:8 KJV, which is probably the same as Berothah in Ezek. 47:16.

The site of this city is probably the modern Bereitân (Brital, Lebanon), 8 miles (13 km) south of Baalbek.
