Deliverer

Jesus Christ is referred to as the Deliverer in Romans 11:26. Here, the Apostle Paul is quoting from Isaiah 59:20 that refers to the promised Messiah.

and so all Israel will be saved; just as it is written,

“The Deliverer will come from Zion,
He will remove ungodliness from Jacob.” —Romans 11:26 NASB

Our merciful God is often called The Deliverer.

“The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer… —2 Samuel 22:2 NASB

The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer,
My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge;
My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. —Psalm 18:2 NASB
