Rakkath
Hebrew: רַקַּת —transliteration: Raqqath —meaning: shore-town, beach-town —occurrences: 1
This is a “fenced city” of the tribe of Naphtali. It is mentioned only once in Scripture. It was located on the Sea of Galilee’s western shore. Due to its location, it had easy access to plenty of freshwater, fish, and caravan traffic.
Now the fortified cities were Ziddim, Zer and Hammath, Rakkath and Chinnereth, —Joshua 19:35
According to Rabbinic Judaism, this is the old name of the city of Tiberias.
