What will the biblical Millennium be like?

The Millennium is the future thousand-year reign of Christ on Earth, which some Christians believe is described in the Bible (Isaiah 35 and elsewhere). It will be a time of wonderful peace, joy, and blessing. (Other Christians have different beliefs regarding end-time events.)

Severe weather will end and be replaced by “showers of blessing” (Ezekiel 34:26).

The city of Jerusalem, as it looks today.

Isaiah 35:1-2,7 NKJV declares that desert and wilderness areas will flourish with plant life. This will occur because “waters shall burst forth in the wilderness, and streams in the desert” (Isaiah 35:6 NKJV). Evidently the underground supply of water will bechanged to allow abundant surface water and springs.

Rain will also increase in areas that used to be very dry, This may make the world more like it was at the time of the Garden of Eden.

It will be a time of bountiful harvests, both from trees and from fields (Ezekiel 34:27).

Jerusalem will be the capital of the world [Jer. 3:17], where the Lord will dwell.

This region will experience a special weather protection, according to Isaiah 4:5-6. Perhaps a supernatural canopy will cover the city, providing shade from the sun and shelter from the rain.

Whatever the case, the world will be filled with wonderful blessings. Future weather forecasts will be good every day. [ NEXT: Read the right column ]
