“After school. Parking lot. It’s on.”

Here’s what the distributor says about their film: “On the last day of the year, mild-mannered high school English teacher Andy Campbell (Day) is trying his best to keep it together amidst senior pranks, a dysfunctional administration and budget cuts that put jobs on the line. But things go from bad to worse when he accidentally crosses his much tougher and deeply feared colleague, Ron Strickland (Cube), who challenges Campbell to an old-fashioned throw down after school. News of the fight spreads like wildfire and ends up becoming the very thing this school, and Campbell, needed.”

Negative—The humor is sickening, which makes it awkward and weird comedy. Lots of swearing and vulgar scenes. I really like Ice Cube’s acting, and he plays his role well. The scene of the day of the after school fight as he’s packing up a lady walks in and suggests a knife instead of a fist fight. That’s pretty dark… and behind them on the chalk board the lesson of Sherman’s March the bulletins are pentacles/pentagrams. Not coincidence.

Neutral—It was an OKAY movie, BUT it could have been much better. Most of the jokes were lame (some even made me cringe)… to be honest. I was expecting better from Ice-Cube :l Oh that movie looked as if it was rushed.
