Matthan is one of the men in the direct royal line between King David and Jesus, through His legal father Joseph (Matt. 1:15).

Matthan’s father is named Eleazar.

Matthan’s son is Jacob, the father of Joseph who married Mary after the birth of Jesus, and became the legal adoptive father of Jesus.
